Puppy Preschool Classes at Bunbury Vet Clinic

It is a well-accepted fact that puppyhood is a critical period for behavioural development and early socialisation. Our team at the Bunbury and Eaton Vet Clinics encourage joining an organised Puppy Class to assure that you and your puppy can do this in a safe and controlled environment.

Our Puppy Preschool is a fun and interactive way for all participant owners to give their puppy the very best start in life. The tools you are shown during our 4-class course, will allow you to teach your puppy in a positive and effective way, with the aim of encouraging their growth into a confident, well-behaved and sociable canine companion.

Our experienced trainers’ main philosophy revolves around ‘positive-reinforcement training’, where we reward the behaviours we want and work on the ones we don’t want. This training approach helps to build a stronger bond with your dog and gives you the best start to a happy life with your new puppy. Classes focus on teaching basic obedience, appropriate social interactions and also address common, undesirable puppy behaviours.

Classes are open to puppies that have had at least one core vaccination and are between 8 to 12 weeks of age (at week-1 of the course). Each week you and your puppy will receive notes on the subjects taught in class, all their treats will be supplied throughout the 4 weeks, and all puppies will receive a graduation pack at completion of the course.
